Farm to Blate

A set of ‘blates’ (bowl plates/shallow bowls) that were made to be used at The Farmhouse Tap and Grill, a farm-to-table restaurant in Downtown Burlington VT. A subsection of Gesamtkunstwerk, the blates use various glazing techniques to achieve an aesthetic value similar to fine art, while still having a utilitarian aspect. Farm to Blate augments the idea of artists joining the restaurant & farm relationship, linking local artists to local ingredients.
